My name is Miriam Brummel and I’m a calm anchor for my couples, that why we’re called Even Keel Weddings. We are an anchor in what can feel like a chaotic time. I started Even Keel Weddings in 2015 after second shooting with some of the best in the business. Soon after, my then boyfriend, now husband Sean Erickson jumped on board and we've since had the honor of witnessing many beautiful vows and damn fine celebrations around the world.
We prioritize presence and intention in our work, and make space for the artistic process to unfold in a way that supports the vision for your wedding. While doing so we honor beauty, love, and connection with a documentary eye in our work.
We aim to find the balance between tradition and edge: while appreciating that tradition stands the test of time, we honor that in the timelessness of our images. We also encourage your non-traditional style to emphasize the candor, creativity, expression and boldness of your day (with a bit of edge).
We are the agents of storytelling through heirloom images that preserve your family history, because knowing where we come from, and documenting that history through photos, is invaluable and how we better know ourselves.
